Probably many more. Not really a lager man, but like the odd drop of Baltika.

Ah listen, it goes without saying Guinness is top dog. Iโ€™d never order another pint in a pub. But I usually go with Moretti when at home.

Although saying that. I got one of those nitro surger devices. And the pints are decent enough with it.

1. Taylor's Landlord;
2. Sam Smith's Old Brewery;
3. Marston's Pedigree;
4. Snaith's Traditional Bitter;
5. Loads of other bitters I can't get locally, or only sporadically.

I think British real ale from the tap is vastly superior to the bottled versions - prefer to drink proper premium* German or Czech lager. or German weissbier at home.

Used to drink Guinness when there was nothing better available, but the terrible pubs where that was the case are mostly things of the past. (Two half-pint bottles of Guinness was the first time I paid over ยฃ2 a pint, sometime in the late '80s)

Best beer I have ever drunk was in a pub in Yorkshire. All I can recall is it was definitely a bitter - all the rest is shrouded in mystery and the amount consumed.

TBH, Pickle, that could have been anything.

Real ale's a natural product, and even the best can be fucked by poor care.

Very occasionally, the reverse happens, and something that's unremarkable elsewhere can taste spectacular in one or a handful of pubs.

Visiting Leeds, I found a pub which served excellent Tetleys (when it was still brewed there). Everywhere else it was bog-standard.

Electric Boogaloo and Clwb Tropica by Tiny Rebel, or Neck Oil and Gamma Ray by Beavertown for modern IPAโ€™s

Lowenbrau and Jupiler for lagers

Whitstable Bay pale ale

Re: What is your favourite beer ๐Ÿบ
Real ale remains live from fermentation to serving. It has live yeast in the barrel. All beer is natural. Some is pasteurised killing the yeast but that makes no difference to it as a product. Flavour results from the ingredients.

Peroni

There is a carlsberg thatโ€™s sold in black tins but Iโ€™ve only ever seen it on scandavian ferry crossings.

Used to buy Sullinger when in France

Perla (green tin) is a nice drop.

5% and up for the rest of it.

Like real ale but never seem to drink it.

It was definitely a magic moment and I remember the taste of the first pint with perfect clarity.

Flowers and mountain streams with the kiss of a hot date come to mind.

Is there nothing you can't talk bollocks about?

An uncooked cake has the same ingredients as a cooked one. Strangely, they taste very different, so the flavour isn't determined by the ingredients, but by the ingredients and the processes they undergo.
